From My Grandfather

"Trust in God & treasure His written word - read it daily - if no more than a chapter of Proverbs a day. It will reveal God's likes & dislikes to you.

Work - if you are working for someone you need to give your best effort every day. If you find that you cannot do this, find a job where you can, a job that you want to do every day - as for the Lord."

- my Grandfather's last words to me, my brothers, sisters, and cousins.

p90x

so i was invited to join a workout group this week with 3 other guys who have been doing the p90x workout for a lil bit. i thought i'd give it a try since we've only had 1 day of classes this week thanks to two blizzards...

wow. so the first workout i joined in on was shoulders, arms, and abs. Felt good after, the next day i was sore so i knew it was working. day 2 i did yoga. i had never done yoga before, so i was a lil hesitant but after the workout i decided that more people should do yoga, especially "athletes" because it was difficult for me, a self-proclaimed athlete. this morning was legs and back... and i cant walk down stairs now, and probably wont be able to walk at all tomorrow.

so ya, i'd recommend doing p90x workouts if you can... its definitely worth it.

Flying

So this semester has been pretty crazy so far... between flight school, senior design project, and trying to enjoy my last semester of college, its been a packed semester. But I've loved learning to fly so far and I've only been in the air for 2 hours so far, but I've got 5 landings and I've done 4 different kind of stalls. The navy is going to pay for up to 15 hours and 1 solo flight, which is about 10 hours less than what we thought we were gonna get. This is a good and bad thing, good b/c then my schedule is gonna lighten up a little bit, but bad b/c I wanted the hours so that I would be closer to getting my private pilots license. Either way I'm happy b/c flying is awesome and I'm gonna be doing a lot of it over the next 10-20 years.
